Luck finally ran out

Is there any way to get this thing into neutral so I can roll it off the driveway and unblock my garage? I’m going to call the dealership in the morning, but for now I can’t get my other car out of the garage. Please tell me there is a way to get it into neutral. :neutral_face:

Well I’m going to say it because it needs to be asked… Did you have the latest firmware update

I’m honestly not sure. I did a firmware update within the last 12 months but no clue if that’s the latest one

@Fielder
One was just initiated last week or the week before.

@Fielder
You would have had to taken it to the dealership in the last two weeks for the ICCU and VCU recall/update. The recall was just released a couple weeks ago.

If it’s not saying Check Power Supply it might just need a new battery. I wouldn’t bother with the dealer it’s way past the 36k mile 12V battery warranty so you would still be charged. You can bring your old one in and get it tested for free someplace autozone or walmart.

@Val
Wasn’t aware the battery warranty is only 36k miles. I’m closer to 75k atm so a new battery might just solve it. It’s not a special kind of 12v battery is it? Any regular (decent quality) car battery should do?

@Fielder
You want an AGM specific replacement.

@Fielder
Diehard has a deep cycle EV battery. The platinum one is probably fine too though.

I’ve yet to experience this, but I’m coming up on 2 years and I’m starting to get worried.

Get yourself a bluetooth battery monitor, they’re cheap and you can review the live voltage and it’s charging state, as well as voltage over time. They’re great for peace of mind.

I swapped out my OEM battery for a WEIZE AGM one, if you are in NE PA I can drop off the old one.

regrettably we’re about a thousand miles apart, but thank you for the offer

@Fielder
Road trip!

If you can get a jumper cable from your other car connected you might be able to get enough juice to fire it up and get into Neutral.

Or maybe one of those portable jumper-packs?

@Marston
Saved me a few times before I swapped to a new battery.

Happened to me on Monday. Heard a pop while backing out of the garage and then the check electrical system and then the turtle. Got vehicle back yesterday. Good luck

The pop is the ICCU failing and the traction battery fuse blowing!

@Adi
Yes I know as soon as I heard the pop that the fuse had blown and I was done. It seems like not everyone hears the fuse blowing. I must be lucky
