LOL… anyone else think this is just too funny?

Not subjective. EVs outperform ICE cars in almost every performance metric.

“Better” depends on the numbers you care about. ICE cars are still better in some areas, like top speed and towing. EVs are improving, but it’s not always black and white.

@Micah
When I say “better,” I mean in overall performance. And no, EVs haven’t peaked like ICE cars have.

“Better” will always be subjective because it depends on what you’re looking for. EVs might not be the best for everyone. And no, I never said they peaked—I love driving EVs. They’re fun, but I lease them because battery tech still needs to improve. Hoping for solid-state batteries soon.

@Micah
And that’s where the real debate lies, I guess.

Out of nowhere, he’s against something that doesn’t affect him at all.

He’ll probably argue that the $7,500 tax credit is somehow hurting him. Or claim that he’s being ‘forced’ to buy an EV. No one’s forcing anyone—he just can’t handle people supporting EVs.

Imagine caring this much about someone else’s choice of car.

@Skylar
As long as they’re distracted from their own miserable lives, I guess that’s what matters to them.

Chevy Silverado gets an average of 16 MPG.

The Tesla Model 3, on the other hand, gets around 120 MPGe. Almost 10 times better.

@Merritt
He probably doesn’t care about MPG. The guy doesn’t seem to leave his small town bubble. ‘All of us’ must mean ‘all the folks in his neck of the woods.’

Yeah, true. Everything’s turned into this ‘us vs them’ mentality. ‘They’re coming for our <fill in the blank>’

He’s likely burning through cash. And even in the US, where gas is relatively cheap, that’s gotta hurt. Also, I wonder if he even knows what type of fuel his truck uses.

@Ty
I saw someone on the F-150 Lightning forum who 3D printed giant wire nuts to hang from their hitch.

@Ty
I could hang them on my Rivian if I wanted to… and still smoke that Silverado in a drag race.
