In the UK, it’s a subscription costing £25 per year and is well worth it. It slows the car at roundabouts and traffic lights as part of the standard Driving Assistance Package.
My husband’s i5 does this, but my 2024 iX doesn’t.
My car warns me about yields and if it thinks I’m going through a red light, which wasn’t the case. UK 2022 model with iDrive 8.0.
This feature is not available in the US.
My X5 sometimes alerts me, but only if I don’t brake when the car expects me to. I live in Sweden.

No, it seems more comprehensive, covering red lights and stop signs, almost like a simplified version of Full Self-Driving. Traffic Camera Information is only marginally helpful in the US, where traffic cameras are sporadic.

It’s interesting how these features are geographically controlled. Another user mentioned it worked within Germany but not elsewhere. It seems there may be regulatory or legal liability issues that dictate where they can deploy such technology. It’s frustrating to know that our cars have capabilities that are restricted by these issues.

Tesla Super Chargers in the UK/EU are already available to iX owners, while those in the US/North America have to wait until 2025, maybe.

Unfortunately, you’ve missed out. The required hardware for iDrive 8.5 was only included in models built after March 2023. You can’t just update the software to get this feature if the hardware isn’t there.

They offer an upgrade for speed camera alerts.
I wish they would include a reminder light for signaling lane changes.

There is a feature that causes the steering wheel to vibrate if you try changing lanes without using your turn signal. It’s on by default.
