Did anyone spot the Dodge Charger Daytona EV and Jeep Wagoneer S testing in PA

Is this the Hershey outlet? The Shell recharge app seems worse than the ChargePoint one. Really disappointing.

I can’t believe one charger was actually working. I’ve never had any luck with those chargers.

Yeah, it’s crazy that there are so few chargers out here considering it’s a popular tourist spot.

I used to have a 2011 Challenger and loved how it looked. I’m all for bringing back muscle cars, but something about this new design just doesn’t feel right. I really want an electric muscle car, but it looks more like a rental to me.

@Oli
I feel the same way; the design just seems off. The lowered hood makes it look like they crammed in a small engine. The wheels are small too, which adds to the odd look.

@Oli
As a Mustang owner, I can agree. I like the Fratzonic exhaust idea, but the styling is crucial for me, and this one just doesn’t hit the mark.

Honestly, a change of wheels and some adjustment could fix most of the design issues. Lowering the suspension a bit could help too. The basic black color isn’t doing it any favors.

@Jesse
I saw a white one too, which looked better. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get a picture of it.

Black hides too much of the shape. I think the base trim wheels make it look like a boring rental. If they had larger wheels and a slight drop in height, it would look much closer to the concept version.

That Fartzonic exhaust would definitely be a letdown for me.

@Oli
I had a 2011 Charger too, and I think this is the best-looking Chrysler product in the last 50 years. But the price is too high for me, and I’m leaning towards a two-door hatchback these days, which aren’t really available in the US. Maybe in five years I’ll find a used electric coupe like this.

@Jalen
Don’t forget about the Mini Cooper.

The EV ones haven’t been good enough for me to consider. A Bolt might be a better option since it’s better in many ways. If the new one is priced well, it could work, but I have my doubts.

@Oli
This doesn’t resemble a Charger at all, and honestly, I think it’s just plain ugly.

@Oli
The wheels are too small, giving off a cheap base model vibe. Plus, it’s frustrating knowing it’s slower than a five-year-old Model 3 Performance, which you can find for under 30k now.

It’s a different category of car. The passenger space will be greater than in a Model S.

@Val
True, but it’s much slower than a Model S. The issue is that the ‘muscle car’ EV isn’t the fastest option. That’s what Dodge and Mopar fans expect.

It seems like you might not be considering who buys these cars. Muscle cars have not been the fastest for a long time. They are designed for comfort, not just drag races. If someone just wants to be fast at traffic lights, they’d choose an AWD car and tune it.

@Val
I know about muscle car owners. That’s what Dodge is about with the Hellcat and Demon; they’re meant to look cool and be fast in a straight line. They’ve always had the best 0-60 and quarter-mile times compared to cheaper options. For instance, back in 2018, you could get a Scat Pack Charger for $37k with discounts, which was a great deal for a sedan.
