Some of them frequently sell for about $10,000. Looks low. Is there a problem with them? Is that the going rate, or what?

The reasons include:
- Battery degradation: One of the main issues is the battery. Over time, the battery’s capacity diminishes, leading to a reduced driving range.
- Outdated technology: The technology in older Nissan Leafs can feel outdated compared to newer electric vehicles (EVs) on the market.
- Depreciation: EVs, in general, tend to depreciate faster than traditional gasoline cars. The Nissan Leaf, in particular, loses a significant portion of its value within the first few years.
- Design and range: The design and driving range of older models are less appealing to many buyers. Early models had a range of about 80-100 miles per charge, which is quite low compared to newer EVs.
I believe that because there are so many incentives to encourage leasing and sales of new EVs to fulfill fleet fuel consumption objectives, off-lease models outweigh the market for used EVs.

Battery degradation. Other evs aren’t so bad.
Oh and the early ones had shit range. 72 miles of range turns into 30 miles of range in the cold or any time the defroster was needed.
