I only use my Discover card with my Tesla account. But I’m curious if there are other cards that give rewards or cashback for using Tesla Superchargers or any electric vehicle chargers. It seems like there’s a missing opportunity in the market. Maybe Tesla could even offer rewards for shopping in their store. Do you think this idea exists or should it?
Credit card rewards for Tesla Supercharger use are available. The M1 Owner’s Credit Card offers 10% cashback on Supercharging, capped at $200 monthly, requiring ownership of Tesla stock with M1Finance. The U.S. Bank Altitude® Connect Visa Signature® Card rewards users with 4 points per $1 on travel and EV charging, including Tesla stations. The Bank of America® Customized Cash Rewards card gives 3% cash-back on EV charging since August 2023.
Tesla’s Refer and Earn program ended on April 30, 2024, but orders placed before then still qualify for referral credits upon delivery. Although new orders don’t earn credits, existing ones can be redeemed until expiration. Tesla’s referral program has been relaunched, allowing for credits towards free Supercharging or Tesla Merchandise purchases.
