What should I name my new ID.4? Any ideas?

I just got a 2023 ID.4 with 7200 miles. I always name my cars and I’m thinking of naming this one Herbie the Spark Bug, but it doesn’t really feel right. Any better suggestions?

We named ours Theodore the ID4. It’s kind of formal but cute at the same time.

We call ours Wuv. It’s a VW, and in German, the W is pronounced like a V, so it sounds like ‘Wuv’. Plus, we love the car… well, mostly! My husband sometimes calls it ‘Das Auto’ too.

Actually, it’s pronounced Fau (V) Veh (W), and the company name is pronounced Folkswagen, not the way Americans often say it like ‘Voltz wagen’.

@Sawyer
Yeah, we know that too, and we sometimes use the correct pronunciation when we’re joking around. But we still like calling it Wuv just for fun!

We named ours Heidi the ID! It just sounds right.

Same here! Plus, if you say it clearly, the voice command system actually responds to it!

How about Volts-wagen?

I named mine Teddy Bell. It’s a mix of the fathers of electricity: Nikola Tesla, Thomas Edison, and Alexander Graham Bell. Without them, we wouldn’t have the ID.4 today!

Das Auto.

I just call mine V-dubbs. It feels simple and catchy.

I went with Apollo, like the son of Zeus. Since Zeus is tied to thunder and lightning, it felt fitting for an electric vehicle, but not too obvious.

I named mine Side Piece. I guess it’s because it’s a fun little car on the side.

Just Ida. Simple, short, and sweet.

I call mine Snowflake, because it’s white, and I thought it was cute.

I named mine Heidi4. It felt like a playful twist on the model name.

Sparky. Just feels right for an electric car!

Mine’s called Moon Knight. Inspired by the comic book hero.

I have a Pure Gray one and I named it Cloudy. It’s called that in the app and Bluetooth, too.

I named mine Iddie Vedder. Thought it was a funny play on the name.
