What should I do about heater problems in my Model 3

The heater in my Model 3 has failed and besides rebooting the car, I’m curious if there is anything else I can try?
Has anyone else dealt with this issue and what did it cost to fix?

Tesla heat pumps had some issues failing for a while but it was during a short time frame. What year is your model?

It’s a 2019 Model 3. I don’t think it has a heat pump

This happened to me, my car wouldn’t start and I had to get it towed (heater and a fuse issue). Every time I jumped the 12v it drained really fast. The car recognized the issue and wouldn’t let me shift into drive. It cost $1400 to fix, and the new heater air smelled like metal for about a month but it’s working fine now

My car drives fine, just cold inside

Saying “the heater failed” is a bit vague. Do you know if it’s the electric heater or the heat pump?
You could try putting it into service mode to get more details to compare with others online

Since it’s a 2019, I believe it has the electric heater. I will look up how to put it in service mode since I haven’t done that yet

Have you called Tesla

You’d get more info that way than just asking “my heater failed, what’s the cost”

Well, when I scheduled service, they pretty much said "we don’t know but expect to pay around $1200. I thought it might help to ask here and see if anyone had knowledge on the issue. I didn’t expect people to be condescending about my question

This forum can be a bit rough, it’s not all EV fans here. I’m sure someone can suggest a Tesla forum where folks are more supportive
