My mom just received a 2021 Tesla Model Y, and we are all quite happy about it. But, I have read reports that the lithium ion battery in some of the other versions is exploding or catching fire. Though I have not heard many people talking about the Model Y blowing up, is this something I should be worried about? Is the model 3 the only one having this battery problem?

I understand your worry @EvaSmith Electric car fire incidents are rare; most reports involve collisions or other catastrophic events. There have not been many issues with the Model Y, despite a few Model 3 fires.
Safety is always the primary concern, therefore pay attention to safe driving practices and proper charging habits.
Tesla advises against skipping routine maintenance.
Always stay alert. Cheersβ¦
