So is the USB port the only way to get Carplay working with an iPhone?

I just bought the latest iPhone, but I only have a USB-C cable. Does the USB-C port let me use Carplay, or is it only the USB port that works?

Yeah, unfortunately, only the USB-A port works for CarPlay. I had the same problem and ended up getting a wireless CarPlay adapter, which works really well. You might want to try that.

Which wireless adapter did you buy?

Which wireless adapter are you using? Does it lag when you change songs? I rented a car once with wireless CarPlay and hated how much it lagged.

@Tatum
It doesn’t really lag. I might notice a tiny delay when pausing a song, but it’s nothing major. Definitely not enough to make me stop using it.

I’ve played around with the Carlinkit adapter, and you can adjust the lag. I found that 500ms is a good setting if you’re using an iPhone 15 Pro.

I love my new car, but I can’t stand this USB setup. Why not just put a USB port that works with CarPlay in the center console or somewhere more convenient?
