I’m currently considering purchasing a Niro EX. Here are the offers I’ve received so far:
$28,500 for the 2024 model without any add-ons. This price includes a special APR of 3.5%. Alternatively, I can opt for a $1,000 rebate instead, but then the APR would be 6.5%.
$28,888 for the 2025 model, but they’re asking for $1,200 in add-ons.
I tried to see if the dealership would remove the add-ons for the 2025 model, but they stopped responding, so I’m assuming that’s a no. Given that it’s already the end of the year, do you think there’s room to negotiate the 2024 model price down to around $27,000?
That’s actually a pretty good price! I paid $28,960 for a 2025 LX and only got a $750 rebate. They’re quite popular in my area, so there wasn’t much room for negotiation.

I agree it seems like a good deal, but I feel like there could be more wiggle room on the 2024 model based on this pricing. The 2025 model doesn’t seem to offer enough upgrades to justify the extra cost, which is why I’m pushing for a lower price on the 2024.

It really depends on your local market and how well the 2024s are selling. In my area, they’re still priced around $28k and up.
Just received another offer from a dealer willing to match the $28,888 for the 2025 model without add-ons, but they’re hesitant to provide an official quote, which makes me a bit skeptical about the deal.
I purchased a 2024 SX for $36,200 (out-the-door price) here in Seattle. If you do a lot of highway driving, I highly recommend getting the HDA add-on. It’s a game-changer.

@Avery
Highway Driving Assist. It handles steering, maintains speed according to the traffic, and applies brakes if needed. You just need to keep your hands on the wheel to ensure you’re still alert. It’s fantastic.
I paid more than that for my used Niro during the pandemic (it’s a PHEV). I was spending $70 a week on gas with my Mazda, and with interest rates at 2.99% back then, I felt it was necessary to make the switch before rates increased.
