I’m away from my vehicle for the next three weeks and planning a long road trip. I need a mattress that will fit on just one side of the car. Can someone measure the yellow, red, and green areas for me, and also the green area with the passenger seat fully extended? Thanks a lot in advance.
Here are the measurements you requested: Red: 15.5 inches, Yellow: 25.75 inches, Green: 80 inches with the passenger seat all the way forward and the seatback at a typical tilt. If you adjust the tilt forward, you might gain a few more inches.

The color matching of the text to the arrows was a nice touch, upvoted!

I was heading to the garage anyway to check my 12V battery’s voltage, so it was no trouble to grab the tape measure too. Happy to help!

The frequent checks on the 12v battery have become a bit of a routine, haven’t they? Well, at least it happened at home!

Why is everyone measuring their battery voltage? How do you even do that?
@Pippin
You can use an ODBII reader and an app like CarScanner to monitor your car’s battery. It’s mostly a precautionary measure to avoid getting stranded due to the ICCU not recharging the 12V.

Which ODBII reader would you recommend for this?
@Pippin
I use a digital multimeter to check the voltage directly. My paranoia kicked in after hearing about all the 12V issues, even post-recall. Just checked and it was at 12.26V.

Once you find the right mattress, could you let us know which one you chose and where you got it from? Thanks!

I’m also interested in finding a good mattress for the Ioniq. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Would a twin or even twin XL mattress fit in there?
@Whit
If both sides are folded down, a Twin XL should fit.

Can you provide these measurements in standard units?
Here are the measurements in inches for the Ioniq 5: 1. Loading box height = 29.05 inches, 2. Pure loading box depth = 38.31 inches, 3. Full flat loading box depth with 2nd row down = 63.50 inches, 4. Inside width at wheel house = 39.37 inches, 5. Maximum outside width = 49.17 inches, 6. 2nd row seat length = 18.74 inches, 7. Maximum 2nd row legroom = 32.17 inches, 8. Minimum 2nd row legroom = 28.74 inches.

Thank you!

Is the green measurement the same when the hatch is closed? It’s important for fitting a mattress that needs to be accommodated with the hatch closed.

Yes, the measurement I provided for the green area is with the hatch closed. It aligns directly with the seat opening, not to the center of the car or the latch as shown.
