Yeah, it was a Saturday. Had a sponge, car lotion, water, a rag, some time and love. Still see some dirt around
Oh is that an Alltrack… are they on air like the Audi ones

In Germany - yes. In the US - not so sure

I don’t get why they would be different in the US, but they might have some strange laws about cars
@Fern
Not only do we not have air suspension, but we also don’t have a Passat Alltrack here. The Passat we got was different too.
In 2011, we moved away from the B6 Passat to a model made just for North America because of what we thought we wanted (cheaper and more space). Our Passat ended in 2021 and was still on a version of the B6 chassis.
That car looks amazing. Always nice to see a well-kept B8, really classy

She looks stunning. Hope you enjoy that beauty
@Toby
Great, it’s the heraldry town coat of arms.
“Gules, above a terrace in base vert charged with three waves Argent, a two-towered castle Argent; on the embattled wall with closed gate a langued azure wolf passant regardant Or.”
How do German people see Volkswagen compared to Audi, BMW, and MB? Is it just seen as an economical car? Your car looks great though, I drive the same B8

Volkswagen has a unique place in Germany and is often seen as a national symbol. Many Germans think of VW not just as a car, but as representing reliability, quality, and innovation. VW is part of the German mindset and is rooted in the country’s history. Mercedes, BMW, and Audi (Horch) are similar, but VW feels like a mindset and a statement for the working class.
@Merrill
That’s interesting. Do you think about upgrading to an Audi A6, or do Germans not really care about buying premium brands unless they actually think they’re better? I’m curious if Germans see VW the same way as Audi and if people show the same love for a VW as they would for an Audi
@Nile
Yes, it’s the same kind of love. I had an Audi A6 before. Same quality and similar price range (new around 60-70k). Audi, VW, BMW, it doesn’t really matter. It comes down to the model
Such a wonderful car. What year is it? This isn’t in the USA, right
