All charging can be done with/without internet. There are chargers that are inherently ‘dumb’ but ‘smart’ chargers can also be dumb if needed or lacking internet.

What I liked about the Grizzl-Mini is it seems to be compatible with most situations I might run into at home and while visiting family or friends. Unless I misread the instructions, it seems you need to access its amperage settings through a web address (IP?) or take the cover off to set dip switches. The dip switch option would certainly be doable but cumbersome.
@Marlow
I think the amperage is set by the plug choice you make, for instance, 6-20 will only draw 16 amps on a 240-volt receptacle. My question is do most of your proposed places actually have 240-volt receptacles or do you really only need the 120-volt EVSE that you are apparently already using? I’d encourage you to install what is best for you at home and then either public charging or use what’s available for 120-volt charging without wasting money on an EVSE that may not really be useful unless you know the 240-volt receptacle that is already there and available for your use.

Those are all really good points. I do sometimes let the desire for perfect get in the way of what would be good enough. Thank you .

Looks like mine. You have the Wind package too?
Ours is the Wave package. I’m currently driving myself batty looking for a charger.
I got a portable charger from DeWalt on Home Depot’s website. It does 110 or 220. The plug is a NEMA 6-20, plus an adapter for 110V use.
@Frost
Oooo, Nema 6-20 is what my compressor uses so we were already going to install one of those in the barn during the redo of the electrical service out there. Thank you for the tip .
