How I Got My Almost New EV6 Wind AWD for $18k… Is it too good to be true?

I bought a 2005 Kia Sorento eight years ago at an insurance/salvage auction for just $200. It was written off because the original owner rear-ended someone, and there was just a small crack in the front bumper. It had low mileage and was in great condition.

I drove it for a few years and sold it for $2000, even with the salvage title. It’s still on the road today.

I loved that car, but I didn’t need five cars, living alone and single .

Congrats! What a steal!

Haha, the manager at my local KIA offered me $32K for it after I told him how much I paid. They sell similar trims for around €57K.

Make sure to check the bottom plate of the battery. That’s usually why cars like this get totaled.

I know that’s a common reason for totaling EVs, but no, there’s not even a scratch on the battery protection layer. I was worried about that too, but this car was listed as having front damage, not undercarriage issues, so I took the risk.

Congrats, that’s really cheap!

I love Georgia! How is the EV infrastructure there?
