How common are explosions in electric vehicles following a collision?

I’m thinking about getting an electric car, especially the MG ZS EV, but I’m not sure yet. Yesterday, I watched a video, but I can’t share it here, where two cars (I don’t know the brand) blew up in big fires. Could this happen if an electric car crashes? Thanks.

hi sister take note the EVs are generally as safe in crashes as conventional vehicles. The risk of fire or explosion is low, and manufacturers continually improve safety standards. Despite their unique battery characteristics, EVs are rigorously tested and designed to meet safety standards. If you’re considering an EV, rest assured they are safe vehicles overall!

While electric car fires are rare, they can occur, especially in severe crashes, due to battery damage. However, electric vehicles like the MG ZS EV are designed with advanced safety features to minimize this risk. Ensuring proper maintenance and following safety guidelines further reduces the likelihood of such incidents.
