F, there’s already a 5-10 min wait time at Tesla Superchargers in Canada, filled with Teslas.
It’s strange how people have issues buying Tesla because of Elon’s name attached, but it’s fine to use Tesla chargers.

Tesla makes more money from non-Tesla chargers. That worries me. If more people use this network instead of others, the Tesla Charging network might become a near monopoly.

Tesla has busy chargers in urban areas but also some with low usage on more remote routes. Letting other cars use those chargers is essentially free revenue for Tesla. It also gave Tesla leverage to get other automakers to switch to NACS instead of CCS1 to meet standards.

The NEVI funding from the Inflation Reduction Act could only go to chargers using an open standard. If Tesla hadn’t opened NACS, massive funding would have gone to CCS chargers, forcing Tesla to switch. By opening NACS, they can now bid for NEVI charger grants and continue offering the best network.

As a Polestar owner, I don’t get access to all the Tesla Superchargers, only some of them. Tesla reserves some exclusively for Tesla owners.
