The Lectron adapter Ford co-developed might be a safer bet if there were previous issues with older models.

You’d think so.

What makes you pick A2Z?

I’ve got the A2Z, and it’s like a solid metal brick. A2Z and Lectron both aim to meet the UL certification, but A2Z ran 500 amps for 48 hours straight without issues. I feel good using it with my Bolt EUV, which only pulls around 150 amps. Ford and Rivian owners have been using them with no issues, too.

The Lectron adapter Ford offers isn’t the same as their older models. They worked with Ford on some improvements, so I’m okay with trusting this one.

Did you hear this from a solid source? I read that it’s just the Lectron Vortex, which is their standard version.

I wish their CHAdeMO to CCS2 adapter was this cheap. The cost is a bit much.

Those adapters need to handle different charging protocols, so there’s a reason they’re more expensive than just reshaping the connector.

It’s wild how much they charge, but it would help a lot for newer Leaf owners. The bigger battery can manage long trips, but finding an available CHAdeMO plug can be tough.

Just a heads up—CHAdeMO to CCS2 isn’t what we use in the US… it’s actually CCS1.
