Are plug-in hybrids superior to electric vehicles (EVs)?

As a temporary solution, hybrids are not fully electrified. They increase the complexity of a gas-powered vehicle by adding an electric motor and battery.

ICEVs and EVs both have their good and bad points. Plug-in hybrids mash them all together. It depends on you which pros and cons are most important to you. A good PHEV has the best of both worlds. A bad PHEV is like having the worst of both worlds.

PHEVs typically have a shorter electric-only range compared to EVs, but they offer the flexibility of using gasoline when needed, which can alleviate range anxiety and make them more practical for longer trips without charging infrastructure.
