I picked up a 2024 EV6 GT from my local dealer on Saturday. It seems the car was used by dealership staff for errands, so it has about 2400 miles on it. I noticed that the key for the locking lug nuts is missing, and I’m wondering if anything else is missing. I have the tire mobility kit, owner’s manuals, and the V2L adapter, but that’s it. Should there have been a level 1 charger or a cargo cover for the rear cargo area? Anything else I might be missing?
You should definitely go back and get the lug nut key. You should have received it with the lugs they removed. It’s important in case of an emergency. If they refuse, ask them to replace the locking lugs with standard ones. You can always buy a set of locking lugs yourself at a much lower cost than what the dealer would charge.
As for the luggage cover, it’s not included. You can find a good quality one on Amazon for a reasonable price.
Regarding the charger, it’s not included with the EV6. I’d recommend getting an Emporia 48A kit with Vue3. It’s inexpensive and allows you to monitor energy usage for both your car and home. If you need a portable option, consider a dual Level 1 and Level 2 unit or a Tesla portable charger. I hate recommending Tesla, but their portable charger is really flexible in terms of input voltages.
For road trips, if you have a CCS model, you might want to get the NACS to J1772 and NACS to CCS adapters. I’ve had a great experience road-tripping in my EV6, but many hotels have a mix of Tesla and J1772 chargers, and Tesla drivers often block J1772 chargers using their adapter.
There’s no charging cable included in the US. Items like the cargo cover are optional accessories. You should check the window sticker to see what came with the car.

Are you serious? It’s essential for the car to work, and it’s not even included?
@Hartley
It’s the way things go here.
@Hartley
Cars with gas need gas, but that’s not included either.
@Hartley
The Ionic 5 does come with a Level 1 charger, while the EV6 comes with the V2L adapter. They’re roughly the same price, but most people prefer a Level 2 charger because it’s much faster. Personally, I’ve installed an Emporia 48A with Vue2, which lets me track everything and set charging times based on my power company’s rate schedule. Some people prefer the Tesla portable power unit, but most of the included chargers are just basic extension cords. They’re waterproof, but not much more than that.
What everyone else said. But make sure you get the locking lug nut key. Better yet, ask them to remove the locking lugs and replace them with standard ones. No one will steal those wheels.

Why do you think no one would steal them? Is it because of the car’s wheels, or do you find them unattractive?
@Ellis
It doesn’t matter what I think about the wheels’ appearance. Generally, thieves won’t bother stealing them. If they wanted to steal wheels, they’d go for something like Hellcat wheels or high-end aftermarket ones. But 21" stock Kia wheels? Not really in demand. These days, most thieves just steal the whole car, because stealing individual wheels takes too long and can get you caught. So, the locking lug nuts are more of a hassle if the key gets lost or forgotten.
But if someone does steal the wheels, I’ll admit I was wrong. I’ll just file an insurance claim.
@Rowan
How do they steal the whole car? Doesn’t it use a card inside the car as a key?

Look up the Toyota CAN injection hack to see how they’re stealing Toyotas. There’s also a tool called the ‘game boy’ that lets you steal a Hyundai or Kia in just 3 minutes. For Dodge Challengers and Chargers, thieves erase all the keys from memory and create a new one. Then, they disconnect the tracking system and the car is gone.
Cars like Corvettes and Lamborghinis are also being stolen. There are groups on Facebook where stolen cars are sold without titles. No car is safe, even if you think it is.
You’re not missing anything. No EV6 (except the first edition or those added by the dealership) comes with an EVSE.
Are you in the US? The accessories included are usually listed on the window sticker.

If they sold it as new without the window sticker, they might have broken the law. Dealers can drive the car for miles and still sell it as new, but only the consumer can remove the window sticker. It might be in the glove box, or you can ask for a replacement. Dealers can print a new one using the car’s VIN. Look up ‘Monroney sticker’ for more details.
@Ainsley
That’s strange. In the UK, cars are considered ‘new’ as long as they have fewer than 20 miles on them.

The dealership could give you a copy with the VIN or their stock number.

Also, check the seat back pockets in the front seats. I found the window sticker in one of them when I had a 2024 Telluride as a loaner last week.

You can use the VIN to get a window sticker online.
