It’s not amazing, but it’s not terrible either. Thoughts?
I consistently got 96kW from a magic dock station last summer. Still better than a lot of others out there.
This is exactly what I expected. Tesla Superchargers in the US are all 400V. The EV6 uses an 800V setup and has to boost the voltage using the rear motor inverters, which max out at around 100kW. Most reports say you’ll hit about 96-97kW.
Still managed to go from 26% to 80% in under 20 minutes.

What was your starting charge?

Between 26% and 80% on an EV6 in good condition is about 40kWh. At 96kW, that would take around 25 minutes. Not bad .

62%, for me anyway.

That’s actually really useful to know.

What was the outside temperature? I’ve seen 150kW on a Tesla in the Netherlands, but if the battery is low and it’s cold, I only get around 65kW.
@Zane
It was about 50°F.
@Zane
150kW on an EV6? That seems high.

Tesla’s V3 Superchargers in Europe can handle 1000V. They’re not capped at 500V like the ones in North America.
I’ve also seen under 100kW at Tesla chargers. My highest ever was 236kW.

It’s not something I’d aim for, but it’s good to have those speeds if the other option is a slow 12-50kW charger.
One note—during the first 2 minutes, it cut out. A quick reset fixed it, and it didn’t happen again.
Can someone break this down for me? People keep mentioning adapters and brands, and I’m getting lost.

Get a good adapter like the one mentioned earlier. Use the Tesla app to locate and start charging at compatible Superchargers. Make sure to set the app to Hyundai Ioniq 5; otherwise, it’ll only show a few options.
@Remington
Oh, that explains why it wasn’t showing me anything. Thanks!

You’ll need either the A2Z or Lectron NACS to CSS adapter. Download the Tesla app—it’ll show you which chargers work with eGMP cars.
