Which EV sedan should I get?

I am looking forward to getting a new sedan EV.

Some of the specifications I am looking for include:

  • Can do 500 winter miles (30F and sunny) in under 8-8:15 hours (BMW i4 40 is 8:10 total time, F-150 lightning extended at 8:45)
  • Not Tesla or Lucid
  • Can handle winter midwestern roads decently
  • Comfort more important than sportiness
  • Reasonable shot at getting a clean title for under $50K
  • Looks are not super important

Please can you bring forward your recommendations.
Thanks in advance.

With your lot of requirements, I think there is only one car that is going to give you the range, charge speed, and comfort that you are looking for under $50k with a service center nearby in a sedan form and it is the Hyundai Ioniq 6.

Unfortunately, you ain’t a Tesla fan I would have suggested a Tesla Model 3 RWD LR. The EV has an over 360-mile range and is going for approximately $35,000 with a Fed Rebate, I would at least test drive one than any other car.

Just go to a showroom test drive some and buy what you want. Don’t depend on reviews here online.

Don’t even try to advise the guy because he has already ruled out Tesla making him an idiot. Sorry for the hard words but Tesla will always remain the King of EVs.

The Rivian R3 is what will serve you perfectly.

Just go and buy the Ioniq 6 and you won’t regret your decision because it is just the perfect Sedan.

I have a Kia EV6 AWD and it has served me perfectly for the past 1 years+. You can maybe acquire one and join me in this Kia club.

BMW i4 eDrive40 is the Sedan you might consider acquiring. It has a range of around 300 miles and its price if around the 50K you had budgeted for.
