It was about 5°C (40°F). Do you think the battery would warm up enough in 20 minutes for the charge to speed up?
Yes, it should warm up eventually. However, it does sound like the charger was the issue here. Preconditioning would help, but the charger’s performance seems to be the main problem.

I used a 350 kW charger, but my EV6 only charged at 41 kW. It seems like I got scammed. Could the charger have been faulty? Or is there something I missed to reach the full speed?
Was it cold during your charging session? I’ve seen 235 kW, but I once got only 135 kW. The temperature and starting SoC affect charging speeds. Make sure you use the map feature to precondition the battery if it’s cold out.
Next time, use the car’s navigation to guide you to a DC fast charger. This will help precondition the battery. I usually get around 120-160 kW in the SF Bay Area, which is fast enough and easier on the battery.
I’ve found my EV6 charges at 230-240 kW on a good 350 kW charger. If there were more good chargers around, it wouldn’t feel much different from driving a regular gas car.
I turned off battery conditioning on a long trip because 30 minutes at 4.2 kW seemed excessive. After that, my fast charging dropped from 193 kW to 75 kW. It didn’t make much difference when I was taking a long break, but I turned it back on for future trips.
