My Juicebox broke again… Any suggestions for something that’s affordable and works well? I don’t need anything fancy. I use my car’s charging schedule to manage it.
Grizzl-E is great if you want something simple and cheap. Emporia is a good option if you want a smart charger that’s still affordable.

We’ve been using the Grizzl-E. It’s made in Canada and has been reliable for almost two years.

Grizzl-E is a good basic choice, and you can make it smarter if you like: GitHub - stefanthoss/ocpp-grizzl-e: Home Assistant integration for the Grizzl-E Smart charger with its faulty OCPP implementation
You should check if your power company offers any discounts or rebates. I got a ChargePoint charger through their marketplace for $200.

We’ve been using a ChargePoint Homeflex since spring, and it’s been working great.
@Zinn
Same here. The app is nice too. The only issue I’ve had was my own fault… apparently AM and PM aren’t the same thing .

Ah yes, the classic user error. I’ve had a few of those myself.
I really like my Emporia charger. It’s been working great.

I just set up an Emporia recently, and so far I’m happy with it.
Take a look at the EV charging guide on this forum’s wiki for more options.
I’ve been using a Clipper Creek (now Enphase) charger for 7 years, and it still works fine. They are pricey, though. If I were buying now, I’d go for an Emporia, Grizzl-E, or maybe a WallBox if you can find a good deal.
@Blayne
Just to add, you don’t need high wattage for a home charger unless you have a massive battery. Even a lower-powered unit can fully charge overnight, and slower charging is easier on your battery.
@Blayne
I think you meant amps, not watts, but your point is spot on.
No issues at all with my Emporia charger.
Emporia has been a good pick for me. It was easy to install, and the app is decent for setting it up.
I’ve been using the ChargePoint CPH50. Works well, and the app integration is solid.
My dealer recommended Webasto. It’s not super common, but it’s been working fine for me.
Nice setup! The charger looks good in this lighting.
Most chargers work just fine. Amazon has some good options. I’ve got an Apex machine and it’s been running perfectly. I’ve installed quite a few brands for others, and they’re all pretty similar.
