Thoughts on leasing an ev6 light long range awd?

I have been considering buying an electric SUV, and the Kia EV6 caught my attention. I asked the dealer for a quote after looking at the numbers. 4k down payment and $270 monthly taxes included. It is 36 months and 10,000 kilometers a year, I believe. Is the deal here good?

Never make a down payment on a lease. If the vehicle is totaled, you won’t get that money back.

I’m also considering leasing an EV6. Just a heads up—if you were to spread that $4,000 cash payment over 36 months, it would increase your monthly payment to $381. That’s why many people suggest lowering the down payment or avoiding a deal that requires money upfront. But in the end, as long as the total cost fits your budget, it might not be an issue.

I’ll also mention—though you might already know—that most people interested in the EV6 tend to go for the Wind model instead of the Light. Many recommend getting the “Tech” package too. Of course, this will likely cost more than the Light model, and adding all-wheel drive to any model will also increase the price.

Sounds like a great deal to me, as long as the 10k is enough. Check for fees if you go over mileage, as those might be steep.
