The "battery mileage" of EVs

Does an electric vehicle’s battery consumption resemble that of a gasoline or diesel car?

In other words, if you drive a gasoline-powered vehicle and you cover long distances without stopping, you will get good fuel economy. However, you will not get good fuel economy if all you do in the city is make quick starts and stops.

Are EVs operated similarly? Are longer drives associated with higher mileage and shorter drives associated with lower mileage?

Yes, common sense and reasoning tell me, but I’d like to be sure.

Yes, EVs work similarly. You’ll get better mileage on longer, steady drives, while short trips with frequent starts and stops will consume more battery. Just like with gas cars, smooth and consistent driving helps improve efficiency.
