Question about battery life

I don’t own an electric vehicle yet, but I’m seriously thinking about getting one in the next year or two. However, many people I’ve spoken to (none of whom actually own an EV) claim that the batteries fail after five years and the repair costs are in the five figures.

For those of you who actually own EVs, what has your experience been? It can’t be that bad, right?

Also, I have been eyeing Ioniqs lately any Ioniq owners care to share their thoughts? Thanks!

I don’t own an EV yet, but I’ve been digging into it a lot. From what I’ve heard, the battery thing is overhyped. Most EV owners I know haven’t had any big issues, and the repair costs aren’t as scary as people say. I’m also eyeing Ioniqs and they seem pretty solid. I’ve heard good things about their range and features. From my research, it sounds like a fun ride with minimal drama. :red_car::battery:

EV batteries generally last well beyond five years. Ioniq owners usually report positive experiences.
