The GT has features and specs that make it special, even if you’re not using all its performance potential. It’s got a great interior, drivetrain, and suspension, which make it a good choice for people who want more than the regular trims. I would still buy a GT for those reasons, even if I don’t plan to push it on the track.
Below 50°F and driving at 80 mph is the worst-case scenario for any EV. If you drove the same route in 80°F weather at 55 mph, you’d probably get around 3 miles per kWh. It makes that much of a difference. Also, Kia’s range ratings tend to be slightly optimistic. I regularly get around 310 real miles on my Wind AWD, which is rated for less.
