Need help with jump-starting a hybrid wondering if you have any advice. I have a 2014 Ford Fusion Energi SE

My friend’s hybrid is hooked up for a jump-start with battery-to-battery connections, but nothing is happening. Any advice?

Go directly to the battery, the jump points don’t work if it’s really dead.

Need to use physical key to open car then pop trunk to get to 12V

If your friend’s hybrid car isn’t starting despite the jump-start setup, ensure that the jumper cables are securely connected with positive to positive and negative to negative, and check that the cables are in good condition. Wait a few minutes to allow the donor battery to transfer charge, and make sure all accessories are turned off in both vehicles. If the issue persists, try using a different donor vehicle and consult the hybrid vehicle’s manual for any specific jump-start procedures. If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be necessary to seek professional help to diagnose and address the problem.

Helo Madison. For a deep understanding you can check House of Hybrids

Do you have an owner’s manual?
