As an avid driver, reaching 100,000 miles with my 2021 Taycan 4S has been quite the journey. Here’s a detailed look at my experience:
I’ve driven my Taycan daily for four years, here’s everything about it… From range fluctuations due to seasonal changes to maintaining the interior and dealing with minor issues. Got questions? Drop them below!

Really considering getting a used one… Could you share your total ownership costs? Like what have you spent on tires, wipers, and other maintenance?

Absolutely, here’s the breakdown: I’m on my fourth set of summer tires, one set of winter tires so far—could last longer if I drove a bit more cautiously. Changed the wipers about three times, using Rain-X from Amazon. Brakes are still good, cabin filters replaced a few times by myself. Energy costs? Around $3200, with a rate of $.08 per kWh during the night. Hope this helps!

Only eight cents per kWh? That’s a steal! I’m paying 25 cents in California at the super off-peak rates.

Lucky to have a constant rate of .0865—gotta love nuclear power!

We’re dealing with 30+ cents in MA, and it’s only going up!

Paying 40 cents off-peak here in CA!

High property values though—California has its perks!

Absolutely love California for its weather, culture, and more. Curious, where do you live that you find better than CA?
@Sorrell
Somewhere less crowded and more affordable, being discovered by former Californians

Hope they don’t bring the high costs with them! California has its downsides, but the quality of life for many is unmatched.

Sounds like Utah?

How have you not needed to change your brake pads or rotors yet? Is it mostly highway driving?

Mostly the regenerative braking system doing the work, so the physical brakes get less wear.

It’s the same for me. EVs just don’t need as much from the brake pads, I’m also not close to needing replacements at over 160k miles.

Where in New England can you get such cheap electricity, or do you have solar panels?

It’s $.50/kWh from 4-8 PM but $.08/kWh otherwise, all included, no solar panels. DM if you want specifics, not posting my town here.
