Lectron making more adapters for NACS to CCS than Tesla?

Do you think this is true? If so, why?

My Lectron NACS adapter works really well. No complaints so far.

Same here. Heard they also don’t mess with the charging system like Tesla’s adapters sometimes do.

Tesla seems slow to respond to this market.

Feels like Tesla is protecting their spot now that they’re ahead.

Why should Tesla be responsible for making adapters? Isn’t that something other brands or third parties should handle?

@Ellis
Tesla has the experience with their own chargers and the manufacturing set up. Makes sense for them to lead here.

Just because they can make them doesn’t mean it’s their responsibility. Other brands should step up for their customers.

@Ellis
I’ve driven my CCS EV across states without issues using non-Tesla chargers. The infrastructure is growing fast with big players like BP and Shell jumping in. Tesla’s great, but they don’t fit 800V systems yet. My EV charges faster than Tesla.

@Keegan
We had a similar discussion at home and decided to grab an adapter soon. The CCS network has been working well for us.

@Keegan
‘Wake up muskrat face’ got me laughing.

@Ellis
If Tesla partners with car brands, they should contribute something significant, like adapters. It wouldn’t make sense to have every brand make their own versions when Tesla can just produce them.

@Yan
Tesla gives access to their charging network, which is already a huge advantage. Other brands need to figure out their adapters or invest in their own networks.

Not surprising. 8k a week isn’t a massive number. Over time, it should level out with demand.

Was that pun intended?

Lol, honestly, didn’t mean it that way.

My neighbour just got one of these adapters.

If you’re in the know, you buy the GM adapter through their hidden link in the app. It’s $200 and takes ages to arrive.

Got mine in a couple of days. No clue why they make it so hard to find.

@Zaden
Back when they first launched, they were out of stock for weeks.
