I’m thinking about upgrading to an electric car and I’ve narrowed it down to the Kia EV6 and Genesis GV60. I’ve always been a Kia fan, but the GV60 looks really sleek. I test drove a Kia Niro EV before and loved it, so I’m leaning towards the EV6, but the GV60’s interior is calling my name! Has anyone driven both? What do you think are the biggest differences between the two?
What I love about the GV60 is that it has a “boost” button for a few seconds of more HP, which is awesome for getting around slowpokes and such.
I won’t even consider it because it is a sedan and the rear seats have much less space than the EV6/I5 as well.
Just last month, I witnessed one drive by in a parking lot. This is an e-GMP Triplett. Interesting rear window style on the C-pillar.
I cannot lie I have never seen the GV60, but from what I have read and seen in videos online is that the GV60 is slightly smaller than the EV6 on the interior.
That said, it looks amazing and if it were for sale in my state I would probably go that direction. The range seems to be a bit better in the EV6 too.
GV60 performance is $10,000 more expensive than the EV6 GT series. It is a fact that the GV60 is faster in sport and boost modes, but the EV6 is faster in ordinary mode, making the EV6 the better of the two, according to the video I recently saw online.
It is not fair enough to compare the GV60 Performance to the EV6 GT-Line because the GV60 Performance has 429 horsepower and the EV6 GT-Line has a mere 320 horsepower so naturally there will be a huge price difference between them.
To give my opinion, a fairer comparison is with the GV60 Advanced with 314 horsepower which is only about $3000 more than the EV6 GT-Line. The EV6 GT (when released) will be the high-performance version which will be a fairer comparison to the GV60 Performance.
I like the looks of the car and the interior is super nice too but the range is pretty low, especially for the price (about 248 miles).
If that does not matter to you it is an appealing option.
