Just got my new N-Line AWD today šŸ˜

I just love it from the back :heart_eyes:

This new model has several upgrades compared to the 2022 version. It features a rear wiper, improved suspension, and a tighter chassis for better corner handling. The horsepower has increased from 305 to 325, and the battery capacity is up from 73kwh to 84kwh. Other nice additions include rear seat drop buttons, N-inspired interiors with alcantara seats, wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, keyless entry for two users via a mobile phone, and a redesigned mid-console with more physical buttons. Iā€™ve also installed a 630watt musway amp/DSP for a unique sound experience. However, Iā€™ve noticed the car beeps a bit too often while driving, something I need to look into. Hereā€™s hoping for many trouble-free miles with this one!

@Flynn
Try pressing in the volume roller on the steering wheel for 5 seconds, that should shut up the annoying speed limit beeps.

@Flynn
You also get a 260kw DC charge instead of 220kw. I was eyeing the N line but ended up with the premium version since the N lines were delayed in Norway. Beware of some software quirks though, several Norwegian owners including myself have encountered them.

@Gray
Wow, I didnā€™t know about the improved DC charging speed. Thatā€™s excellent if it delivers as promised!

The fast charging really changes the game along with the battery pre-conditioning feature. Itā€™s all about those quality of life upgrades!

@Gray
Absolutely, looking forward to the faster DC charging as well. Just worried it might reduce the range a bit in cold weather.

@Flynn
To turn off that beeping lane assist, press and hold the lane assist button. Itā€™ll stop the other alerts too. I only use the basic lane assist on highways and switch the rest off each time I start the car.

@Morgan
Thanks for the tip! Iā€™ll spend this weekend playing around with all the settings.

I canā€™t believe you didnā€™t go for the blue color!

I had to make a quick decision and chose from what was available at the dealership. My previous AWD needed a part replacement not available until March 2025, so I took this opportunity to upgrade to the new model. Despite not getting the blue, this one drives smoothly and feels more refined than the previous. Hereā€™s to hoping the ICCU is better engineered this time!

@Flynn
While many go for blue, the white looks stunning too. Itā€™s unique and stands out.

Thereā€™s definitely something about that white. I wanted the matte white but it didnā€™t get the wifeā€™s approval. We ended up choosing a color we both liked and had before.

@Flynn
White, gray, or matte gold, they all look great on the Ioniq 5. I find the rose gold particularly attractive.

@Flynn
Those upgrades sound fantastic! Iā€™m not familiar with the ā€˜N lineā€™ here in the US. Is it similar to the SEL version?

You can check out the configurations on Hyundaiā€™s official Norwegian site to compare. Hyundai Configurator

How did you find the Kona as a loaner? Iā€™m considering it for my next car but canā€™t decide between it and the Ioniq.

The Kona was reliable but had some comfort issues with the seats, causing early fatigue on longer drives. While itā€™s powerful enough for highway speeds, the Ioniq 5 is in a different league in terms of power. The steering in the Kona was too light for my taste. If you have harsh winters, go for an AWD model. Overall, the Ioniq 5 feels more special.

The 2024 Kona looks sharp, and there might be an AWD version coming. Itā€™ll likely be priced similarly to the Ioniq 5.
