Excited to share my latest upgrade! I’ve opted for 18" Fast EV01+ wheels combined with Hankook Ion Evo AS tires. I’d love to hear your thoughts or see similar upgrades you’ve made.
Kind of wish you hadn’t posted that picture. Now I have to go wash my car and armor all the tires. Looks great!

Thanks! Two years this month and I still love the digital teal.
My original 19" tires were worn down to 4/32" after 33k miles, and one had a slow leak. It was the perfect time to switch to 18s for a slight boost in efficiency. I’m really happy with how these wheels look, and the Hankooks are impressively quiet. The ride is smoother thanks to the extra sidewall. It’s too cool right now to see any range improvement. By the way, I’m selling the original 19" flower petal wheels with TPMS sensors and center caps in Raleigh, NC if anyone is interested.
@Bex
What offset did you go with? I would like to put 18’’ wheels on mine for winter but I’m not sure about the specifics, might just copy your setup.

Here’s the specs:
• Fast Wheels EV01(+) Satin Black - 18x8 | +45 | 5x114.3 | 67.1mm
• 235/60R-18 Hankook iON evo AS SUV
I also added Autel TPMS sensors and Mishimoto black acorn steel lug nuts.
@Bex
Thanks for the quick response. You’re the best!
@Bex
Will the OEM TPMS sensors not fit?

They definitely will, but I originally didn’t plan to remove the sensors from the OEM wheels.
@Bex
Hey neighbor! I’ll be on the lookout for those wheels.
@Bex
These look awesome, and it seems like the 18s would logically give a range boost. Do you have to change the rims too?
@Bex
Bummer. If you had the Limited Wheels, I’d drive out there today.
The Hankooks added like 30 miles of range on my AWD.

30 percent? That would be 75+ miles. I can believe 30 miles, but not percent. Our 2023 limited with Evo1 and Hankooks has increased range by about 25 miles
@Milan
I meant 30 miles, sorry.
There’s not a significant weight reduction with this setup. Using my digital scale, I found:
EV01+ 18x8 – 21lbs
Evo Ion AS 235/60R18 – 33lbs
Stock 19x7.5 wheel – 31.5lbs
Michelin Primacy 235/55R19 tire - 28lbs
Total of 54lbs new vs. 59lbs old. If I was going for maximum efficiency, I’d consider even lighter and narrower tires.
@Bex
Don’t forget about the moment, which is tougher to measure but could be more crucial than total weight. A smaller wheel means the weight is closer to the hub, reducing rotational inertia. The tire sidewall acts almost like an ideal aerodynamic surface, adding to the efficiency.
@Bex
Unsprung weight affects efficiency about 10 times more than sprung weight.
Looks good
Nice. I’m using EV01+ with titanium finish but with Michelin X-Ice for winter. Sounds like EV01+ with Hankooks is a good choice for spring for good range and low rolling resistance?
