Is the Mercedes EQE 350+ back seat bigger than the Model Y?

I own a Tesla Model Y and I’m wondering if the backseat in the EQE sedan is more spacious compared to the Model Y? We need the space for kids, especially for long vacation trips.

If you’re comparing to the Y, an SUV might be a better comparison. I own a Model 3 and found the EQE much more comfortable both in the front and back.

I’ve got an EQE and ran into a problem where my baby-seat base angles up too much. Now we have to buy a new seat that tilts less. It’s pretty frustrating.

Do you mind telling me what seat you ended up getting? We also have an EQE and we’re thinking of getting the Chico Fit360 convertible car seat.

We ended up buying a Skoda Enyaq instead. The EQE wasn’t giving us the room we needed for a pram and two kids. Didn’t really like the EQB and the EQE SUV was too expensive. Very happy with the Enyaq for family needs.

The EQE definitely has more legroom. It’s a longer vehicle compared to both the Model Y and Model 3.

If you’re asking about leg and shoulder room, the EQE sedan has more of both than the Y. The only downside is that the headroom is a bit smaller. The EQE SUV, though, has more headroom but less legroom and shoulder room compared to the sedan.

I’ve owned both. The EQE has more legroom but less headroom than the Model Y.

If you had three kids, would you switch from the Model Y to the EQE sedan? The only things missing from my Model Y are comfort and less cabin noise. I hope the EQE can deliver those.

If you need room for 3 car seats, I wouldn’t. It’s fine for 2 car seats with a kid in the middle, or 3 boosters. The EQE is definitely more of a ‘car’, while the Model Y feels like a smartphone on wheels. Comfort is much better in the EQE, and cabin noise is non-existent, especially if you have the Airmatic suspension. I have that since I need to raise my car for the garage, but even the standard suspension is more comfortable than the Model Y. Honestly, the Y has the worst suspension I’ve ever experienced, and I’ve owned about 30 cars!

If you’re trying to fit three kids in the back, I’d steer clear of a two-row car. Something like the EV9, EX90, or R1S would give you a lot more space.
