I am thinking about buying a new Kia EV6 Wind AWD 39k miles no tech package out the door price is 29k. I need inputs

The title explains everything. The dash has an unsightly patch the size of a thumb, which is the only problem; I am unsure whether I can live with it. Since it is Labor Day, I figured the dealership would offer better. I intend to return in the morning to see if they can reduce the price by an additional $500. They dropped their asking price by $500, but I don’t think that’s sufficient. What are your thoughts? Anything you think I should consider before making the decision would be appreciated!

As a point of reference, I paid $30,000 for a 2022 Wind AWD with 11,000 miles last month. The vehicle is spotless, but I was unable to persuade them to include any chargers.

Therefore, be careful not to purchase any of the nonsense the vendor tries to sell you. Ask them to include a detailed clean. Verify the Recurrent batteries.

It is actually possible for you to find a better deal. In my case, I had my 2022 GT line AWD for sale at 30k and it only had 14000 miles on it. I was discouraged because I couldn’t get a better offer.

Would you mind telling me where you currently reside? I am in Southern California. Did you have to convince them to accept that amount? Because I am currently seeing the starting costs utilized for the Wind around 29–31k on the internet

The price seems high because if I remember well just bought a 2023 Wind AWD with tech with 3000 miles for just 34.5k.

I concur with you because it also seems high to me. I was offered a $28-29K trade value on my 2023 GT-Line with 10,500 miles on it.

The sales price is higher, but probably only a few thousand. Seems like that significantly lower trim with almost 4X miles should be quite a bit less

I won’t talk anything about the price, but don’t even dream of getting one without a tech package. I love my EV6 but in my opinion, the upgraded cameras and many more upgrades are really important to my overall enjoyment of the car and safety. I drove both and without the tech package and I can assure you that it is not the same experience.

I recently paid 29k flat for an off-white 2022 Wind equipped with Wind tech package with just 11k miles from a Nissan dealership.

The price is unbelievable :smirk:
Just visit Florida because you can buy a new EV6 Wind with tech package for just 40k.

You can try this hack, check the carfax report on it to see when the dealer got it. If it has been there for many months, the dealers should be more than willing to drop the price.

For instance, my 2022 Wind AWD with tech package (28k miles) was $29k in January.

The Dealer had it since December 2023 and the 12v battery was replaced when they received it in December. As it is the norm in the country, used cars being sold at a dealership have a free carfax report. Therefore take advantage of this norm.
