Hey everyone, just curious… How long are the original tires lasting on your HI5s? I’m considering a 24-month lease and expect to drive around 30k miles. Will the stock tires hold up, or should I look into getting snow tires for the winters in the northeast? Any advice is appreciated!
I’ve got a 2022 SEL AWD with 75k miles. The first set lasted till about 48k miles, but I think they could’ve gone a bit longer, maybe 55-60k. I replaced them early for better winter traction. At 30k miles, you should be fine for now.
@Nuri
What tires did you go with when you replaced the originals?

I went with Hankook ION EVO AS SUV tires.

I stuck with the original Michelin Primacy A/S tires.
I’m at 29k miles, and two of my tires are down to 4/32. The other two had to be replaced because of flats. I don’t really baby the car, so that probably didn’t help!
How hard are you going to push the accelerator? That’s gonna be a big factor!

I’m trying to take it easy… but I might slip up sometimes
I’m at 32k miles after 2 years and the tread looks fine so far.
22 AWD Limited here, mostly highway driving. I’m at 56k and still plenty of tread left. I keep it in normal mode most of the time.

Be cautious though. I’m nearing the end of my OEM tires’ life at just 18k miles, but I do drive pretty hard. It’s an electric car, so it’s fun!
We bought a 2022 RWD SEL last month with 34k miles on it. The tires were already worn out, so we replaced them with the same OEM Michelin Primacy ones. They’ve got a 55k mile warranty, though it’s prorated. I think the previous owner might’ve driven on rough roads, which could explain the wear.
I had nails in two of my original tires and replaced the rest around 70k.
My tires were at 5/32 at 20k, but then I got nails in two of them . Seems like 40-50k is typical for these.
Tire life really depends on your driving style. If you drive smoothly and keep the tire pressure optimal and alignment good, they’ll last longer. Plus, you’ll get better efficiency too.
Rotate them often and use eco mode if you can.
I’m at almost 47k and planning to replace them in a couple of months.
I made it to 41k before a road hazard took one out. Decided to just replace all four since the others were close to needing it anyway.
22 AWD SEL here. Needed new tires at around 47-48k but pushed them to 55k before replacing.
