I think you’re making a big mistake bypassing the AWD, especially if you live in an area with ice and snow.

Why do you say that? I’ve heard that tires are the most important factor. I’d be sad to lose the heated steering wheel, though—it only comes with the AWD in the US .
@Micah
For one, it’s way more fun to drive. Also, you probably won’t even use the last 30 miles on a battery. I’ve got 57,000 miles on my AWD Wind model, and I’ve only been below 20% a few times. The lowest was 9%, and I had no doubts I’d make it. Two, you can get nearly the same efficiency driving an AWD gently. Plus, with snow tires, the AWD is incredible in icy and snowy conditions. I’ve never had a better commuter car for ice or blizzards.

Thanks! That might help change my mind. I test drove the AWD GT line, and the acceleration was amazing—even without pushing it to the limit.
I have the RWD model, and it’s perfectly fine. Just make sure you use good tires, and you’ll be fine.
