How do you guys think about used EV6's?

Of course, I am aware that no one can ever know how a previous owner may have treated it. It looks like it is a 2022 Wind AWD with a Tech package, has 46k miles and is listed for just $24k,

If it made only ‘genuine’ 46k miles, it is then a reliable car, right?

From my experience, when I bought my 22 Wind AWD in May of 23 it had around 26k miles and so far it has been 100% rock solid since then. Cars with miles have proven track records. Just make sure to get the latest TSBs and recalls done.

The listed of $24k is under $25k meaning you can use the $4k Used EV tax credit if you qualify, making it only $20k. Quite a nice deal.

Just to make it clear this only applies if you buy it from a dealer that is registered for that tax credit with the IRS. There are a bunch of stipulations for this credit that should be checked out before depending on it.

Before going for the deal, check battery degradation and how many DC fast charging sessions through OBD. Though any problems should be covered by warranty still.

That is absolutely a nice deal. I bought a used one with 20k miles on it. It was keyed and touched up but I like the fact that I don’t have to worry about putting the first scratch on it or paying the initial depreciation.

So far the recall/technical service bulletin item work has been easy to take care of and I still look back at it after parking with awe.

If we don’t account for interest for, that would be around $500/month for a 4-year car loan with zero down. Comparatively, here in MD where leases run higher, I am at around approximately $600/month for a 10k miles per year lease.

You should ask yourself these questions before making any decision; is the car still under warranty? Is it CPO?

I overpaid for my used one with 13k miles. I did it right during the pandemic times and sadly I paid like 43k.

I got a 2023 Wind probably with no Tech and 10k miles for 27k. I have only put 6k miles on it but seems to be serving me great.

Keep in mind that if you buy it, just be prepared if something fails on your vehicle Kia does not service vehicles the best.

I actually adopted a GT line AWD EV6 a while ago. Since June my air conditioning hasn’t worked. They try to fix it and fail without a loaner. Seriously it is upsetting. You probably won’t have to deal with this but if you do have an issue be prepared.
