Do we have any non-camouflaged pictures of the Ioniq 9 yet? I’m thinking about an EV9 but if the Ioniq 9 is similar, I’d prefer to stay with Hyundai. From what I’ve seen, it looks more like a stretched Kona, which is disappointing. I was hoping for something more futuristic like Cyberpunk or Tron.

Here’s a tiny teaser, but honestly, I wouldn’t count it as much. The Ioniq 5 (and the Vision 74, if they decide to build it) will have that retro look. As for the ‘Cyberpunk Tron’ style, I’m not sure if that would work due to aerodynamics and interior space. The designs of EVs are kind of standardizing around a similar shape. That said, it does keep the ‘pixelation’ design in the lights and interior.

They’re supposed to fully reveal the Ioniq 9 this month, so you don’t have to wait much longer. I agree though, from the camo, it’s hard to tell, but I do like the EV9 more.

I really like it! They’re pretty similar, but I think I prefer the driving position in the 6. Don’t get me wrong, I love the 5 too, but I think we’ll prefer the 6 for long trips. It feels a bit quieter inside, which is a big plus.

That makes sense. The 6 has a smaller cabin, so it would naturally feel quieter compared to the 5.

Car cabins don’t echo, it’s probably quieter because of less wind and road noise, thanks to the Ioniq 6’s sleeker design and better aerodynamics.

True, but a larger cabin can also be louder due to reverberation and the space inside. Even with better aerodynamics, the size makes a difference.

It looks like they do. Since they both use the same platform, any difference in speed would likely be too small to notice.

My husband got a 2023 black Ioniq 6, and I got a 2024 digital teal Ioniq 5.
