It’s been a long process. Two months of researching, watching tiktoks and YouTube videos, reading lots of articles, lurking in this forum, test drives, and the visits to dealerships. Glad to finally close that chapter and start a new one (now I need to figure out how to turn off the alarm that keeps telling me there’s a car in the lane next to me).

Leasing a 2024 Kia Niro EV right now and I can say that you made a great choice! I love my Niro EV. Mine is in Runway Red.
Nice! For the money, it’s definitely the right choice. It was either this or a 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV, which is solid, but I really like how this guy handles so much better.
@Eli
I had a 2020 Bolt EV before my Kia, and the Kia is on a whole other level. It feels futuristic, comfortable, and much more efficient. I’m thinking of buying it after the lease ends.
Welcome to the Family. The more you get to know it, the more you will fall in love with it. Just know, the car will teach you both how to drive and how NOT to drive.
I totally agree with you on “Dreaded visit to the dealership”. For preowned cars, I never step foot in one without having a cheque for the full amount I’m willing to pay.
@Evans
And the sales talk! I had a guy ask me how much I make. A couple of others actually said ‘So what do I have to do to get you to come in today…?’

GAWD! I know that feeling. They’re so sleazy. If you have some time and want an entertaining read, I suggest reading ‘The Confessions of a Used Car Salesman’ from Edmunds. It’s a behind-the-scenes look at used car dealerships.
And to your point, I’ve been asked worse, so I totally get it.
