I bought a used 2022 EV6 Wind with around 32,000 miles, and now it’s close to 38,500 miles. When I first got it, the ride was really smooth—no vibrations at all, and barely any feedback from the road. But lately, I’ve started noticing vibrations, even on smooth roads, mostly when I’m going above 60mph. Sometimes it sounds like something is rattling inside the cabin.
Has anyone else had this issue? Do you think this is something the warranty would cover? Also, if I take it to a Kia dealer, would I need to pay a diagnostic fee just to have it checked?
Check your seat belts when they’re not in use. There’s a plastic and a felt side on the buckle. If the plastic part is resting against the plastic panel by the doors or B-pillar, that might cause a noise similar to what you’re hearing.
If you’re feeling it more in the drivetrain, check your wheels, lug nuts, or maybe get an alignment.
This might be the front plastic plate under the car vibrating against the battery plate. I added some foam pads to fix the buzzing sound when I was driving faster.
I had the same issue a couple of months ago. The dealer found that part of the foam inside the stock tires had come loose and was bouncing around. They removed it and rebalanced the tires under warranty. Now it’s back to that smooth ride again.
