That still might be a port issue. Have you tried using someone else’s phone?
I have another phone. It’s an Android. Surprisingly, it has fewer issues than my iPhone. When it does fail, it fails in a similar way, though. I’ll clean the ports. This is the first time I’ve had a port issue. The phones still charge, even with the failures.
Hey, I have the exact same problem with my EQE. When using Android Auto, all devices randomly disconnect multiple times a day. I’ve tried different phones and cables. This happens only with the USB ports and not with wireless CarPlay or Android Auto. It also causes my dashcam USB stick to disconnect, which ends up corrupting the files. I took my car to Mercedes two months ago, and they thought it was a software issue. They updated the main unit, but that didn’t solve anything. I went back this morning, and they found a problem, but the part they need is on back order and will take five weeks to arrive in the UK. They ordered it and will schedule the repair once it gets here.

Hi there! This sounds really similar to what I’m dealing with right now! If you don’t mind me asking, do you know what part it is?
I’ve messaged them to find out. I’ll pick up the car tomorrow and let you know. I haven’t seen anyone else talk about this issue online, so it’s good to know I’m not alone.

Thanks! Same here! It felt like my issue was really unique. To make things worse, Mercedes told me that I was the only EQE in the country with four pages of issues, yet my lemon request is being ignored. It’s genuinely frustrating.
