They convinced me to lease a 2024 by saying the 2025s wouldn’t be here until January. Oh well, guess I got played!
Unless they’ve really fixed the 12v issues, I wouldn’t order another E-GMP model. The hassle just isn’t worth it.

Photos of the 2025 in Korea show it now has an AGM 12v battery.

AGM batteries help reduce the problem but don’t fully solve it. A software update from Hyundai would be the real fix.
My dealer has two or three 2025s on the way. I’m planning to check them out because my 2023 has been nothing but problems. Not sure if I’ll go with another Hyundai, though—still deciding if it’s worth it.

There aren’t any 2025 Ioniq 5s in the U.S. yet. What they have might be a 2025 Ioniq 5 N, which is slightly different.
